West Is Pissed

A comic for West... done for no particular reason... really... I swear... it's not like his birthday is tomorrow or anything... and I'm too cheap to buy him a real present...


This is without a doubt the single BEST drawing of West I've ever done. Period. And I'll probably never draw him quite this well again... >.<; so enjoy it while it lasts XD

My intent was to make West look as Badass as humanly possible and I do believe I pulled it off, especially in those first two panels(or the one combined panel if you see it that way). I wanted to make sure my Copy Frieza looked as evil as possible as well, yet without making him look cooler than West. The only part I'm really disappointed with is the Super Saiyen 5 panel... it just feels like it could have been done much better somehow.


As for technical specs, West tosses his coat off before transforming, but I didn't have enough space to add the panel of him taking it off like I was originally going to and I didn't want to stretch this out over two pages. You could also maybe say that it was incinerated or blown off when he transformed I guess... I also noticed that his shirt is clearly loose in the first panel, yet tight in the final shot. This is explained pretty simply, in that once transformed West's muscles greatly expand and the once loose tanktop quickly becomes body tight around the added mass. And if you're asking where'd all that extra hair come from in the Super Saiyen 5 part, look closely at the top two shots... you'll notice West is still wearing his (actually much longer) hair tied back in a ponytail, just barely noticeable behind his neck(on the right).


As for the Story behind this, (and You can check the recently uploaded profiles for the explaination of Frieza's appearance and whatnot) I didn't really have a plot in mind for the encounter, but if Frieza is involved it can't be good. West was likely called out to where ever they are under false pretenses, but he's not stupid enough this far along in the game to go falling into a trap. By the time he locates the one responsible, it's obvious that he knows full well what's going on AND who's behind it.

Copy Frieza may not know all the details of the original's history with West, but he knows enough to hate the Saiyen and to hold the same desire as the original to destroy him. Thus the somewhat ambiguous comment about "killing someone important to you," as Copy Frieza doesn't know to whom or what he is actually refering to, but he knows it will rile West up nonetheless.

West has no intention of toying around with his long time enemy and he doesn't have time for Frieza's little games. He's taking it up to the maximum level right from the start and he'll have crushed Frieza into the ground before he even knows what hit him.

As a final thought, I felt it most appropriate to have him fighting Frieza as opposed to any other villian, simply because West, like Jou, has had a longer history of torment by and hatred towards Frieza than probably any other foul miscreiant they've ever encountered or ever will. And thus, this is also why Frieza keeps managing to come back from the grave, just to keep the duo on their toes and to cause them as much misery as humanly possible.


It's not much... but I do hope you enjoy... I put a good three solid hours worth of effort into this... ^.^;;
